It was nearly impossible to narrow down my top oils to only 25—I have developed a love and obsession for so many oils and use them throughout daily life. But here we go, the 25 oils I cannot live without and think everyone should have in their collection. These oils cover all the areas of support: immunity, emotions, skincare, overall wellness, focus, sleep, energy, digestion, cleaning, home fragrance and more! Valor

Our family favorite emotional support oil! Valor is Stevie's oil. Our 3 year old daughter always smelled of valor because we would place a drop on the crown of her head to support feelings of peace and courage. Any time we smell it now, we are reminded of her. Valor is a calming and relaxing oil that helps with feelings of overwhelm.

Northern Lights Black Spruce

NLBS is one of the first woodsy, tree oils that I recommend to new oilers. Young Living has a black spruce farm in British Columbia right under the Northern Lights and it's totally on my bucket list to make a visit!

STRESS AWAY

We call this blend "vacation in a bottle" because its sweet and warm aroma is reminiscent of being on a tropical beach. This incredibly calming blend makes a great all-natural daily perfume with notes of vanilla, lime and lavender. Try this: make a roller with stress away, grapefruit and lavender (also amazing in the diffuser).

Sacred Mountain

Another top emotional support oil that smells heavenly on the skin AND in the diffuser. I love sacred mountain alone and in blends with other oils. This is a great oil to ground your mind and body before prayer and meditation. Try doing a scent tent or applying sacred mountain across your heart.

Vanilla

I jumped for joy the day Young Living released their vanilla essential oil. It smells warm and yummy and cozy and is my favorite to use in my DIY perfume blends. It smells wonderful in rollers and the diffuser. Try this: diffuse vanilla, patchouli and lime OR vanilla and bergamot.

DIGIZE VITALITY

I cannot live without digize--this oil blend is a natural wellness must have. I bring it everywhere with me, ESPECIALLY when I travel. Digize is basically a miracle worker for tummy troubles. My stomach goes crazy when I travel and digize keeps it under control. It smell takes some getting used to, but the results make it totally worth it! How I use digize: place a drop directly under my tongue and massage into my abdomen for an upset stomach, bloating, constipation and cramping.

Tea tree

My go-to oil any time I feel a nasty pimple coming in. Simply spot treat acne with tea tree. I also use tea tree on splinters, ingrown nails, or mystery skin irritations--it has helped skin stuff clear up so much quicker.

eucalyptus radiata

There are several eucalyptus essential oils (because there are several eucalyptus plant species) and this one is my favorite! We love to turn our shower into a spa by adding 5 drops of eucalyptus to a washcloth in the corner--it invigorates and uplifts while opening up our breathing, amazing way to start the day! It's also great when added to lotion or massage oil. And it's one of my favorite oils to diffuse for a fresh smelling bathroom.

Patchouli

I grew up despising patchouli and it took me months before I would even give Young Living patchouli a try because I thought it would smell like stinky armpits, lol. Little did I know that REAL, non-synthetic, straight from the source patchouli would turn out to be one of the most satisfying smells I've ever experienced! REAL, plant based, earth-soured patchouli is a dream and I use it every single day as a perfume (try combining patchouli and grapefruit in the palms of your hand and rub through your hair). I love to diffuse patchouli and it is a favorite of mine in the diffuser. Diffuse this: patchouli, bergamot, and lemon.

Lime

I love to add a drop of lime to my ice water for yummy flavor. But also, lime is one of my favorite citrus oils to diffuse. Try diffusing: lime, lavender and northern lights black spruce together. Lime is amazing when paired with a floral or tree oil. Also try: add only one drop of lime to your guacamole (1 drop goes a LONG way).

Seedlings calm

Seedlings calm is from the baby/children oily collection but I use it daily as well! This is a favorite bedtime diffuser blend of mine and perfect for bedtime wind down with the kiddos. Try this: do a Seedlings Calm scent tent as a family and have each person state a positive intention before bed.

Peace and calming

I'd like you to meet my first oily love--peace and calming! This was one of the first oils that turned me from skeptic to advocate. I remember breathing it in for the first time and immediately recognizing the wave of calm that washed through my body. Something I was smelling filled me with nostalgia that relaxed my entire body. It has this same effect for me today.

Harmony

This was my very first expensive oil splurge and I was so nervous to discover if I would love it...LOVE is an understatement! This calming blend makes the best daily floral perfume, it smells so relaxing, is lovely when added to a bath and every time I wear it I'll get a ton of compliments. Plus it comes in a 15ml bottle so it lasts forever! Try this: get the most out of your Harmony by adding 15 drops to a roller and filling the rest with fractionated coconut oil. Now you can take Harmony on the go, give out to friends as gifts. and make one bottle last extra long.

cedarwood

this oil took time for me to love. I didn't love the smell at first but I knew it would support a good night's sleep and is nourishing for hair so I added grapefruit to make it smell like a cologne. Now I LOVE the way it smells and crave it most nights. Try this: apply a drop under your big toe at bedtime. Combine cedarwood, rosemary and lavender in a spray bottle with half distilled water and half witch hazel for a nourishing hair health and growth spray--you can also massage cedarwood directly into your scalp. Many use cedarwood as a natural deodorant (I still haven't tried this but need to).

Peppermint

Probably the most used essential oil in our home. We use peppermint to support head tension, tummy aches, car sickness, digestion and it smells super clean and fresh in so many diffuser blends. I get car sick really easily and peppermint saves me--try this: add a tiny drop of peppermint to the tip of your nose, or smell it straight out of the bottle, for stronger support add 2 drops to palms of hands, rub together and place hands over the nose in a scent tent and breathe in deeply.

Deep relief

I travel everywhere with my Deep Relief roll on. This roller blend is soothing and cooling for sore/tense muscles and joints. Our whole family uses deep relief to support head tension and body aches. My kids ask for it any time they're having "growing pains" and it works like a charm! Try this: roll onto thighs and calves for a pick me up before a work out.

Tranquil

I CANNOT go to bed without applying my Tranquil roller. Tranquil is an incredible blend that is only available in a premade roll-on, which is perfect for carrying in a pocket or purse and being able to apply any time I'm feeling overwhelmed. Tranquil is made up of cedarwood, lavender and roman chamomile--all calming and soothing oils that prepare our mind and body for the most restful sleep. Tip: The tranquil roll-on makes the most perfect gift for stressed out loved ones, trust me, they'll thank you endlessly!

lemon

Lemon essential oil is a must have for your natural home cleaning routines. I diffuse lemon to neutralize icky odors or after cooking a stinky meal. I also add several drops of lemon to my Thieves cleaner for extra clean windows and degreasing my countertops and stove/oven. Any time I have sticky residue or a residual price tag goo on glass, I add a drop of lemon and it rubs right off with minimal effort--it's seriously like a magic trick! I've also been able to get tough food stains off my counters and sinks with lemon oil. Lemon Vitality™ essential oil has a fresh, citrusy flavor and provides immune support and antioxidant properties when taken internally.

Thieves

I could go on and on and on about Thieves essential oil and why it is a must have in every single household! Thieves proprietary blend is the ultimate oil to promote overall wellness and support healthy immune function. Thieves has antioxidant properties, immune system support, cleansing to the digestive system, general wellness support and it smells like Christmas! Try this: Dilute and apply to the bottoms of your kids’ feet in the morning and for a great day at school. Add a few drops to your dishwater or dishwasher to eliminate odors and boost cleaning. Dilute and apply to the bottom of your feet during cold winter months.Take in a capsule to help support the immune system. Put a drop in your morning juice, tea, or coffee. Add a drop to oatmeal, granola, or other cereal to elevate your breakfast and help cleanse the digestive system. Add 1-2 drops to a shot of NingXia Red for a quick spicy boost.

Grapefruit

Another favorite citrus oil of mine! Amazing in the diffuser when paired with floral oils or other citrus oils like orange, lime, bergamot and citrus fresh. I also add a drop to my water bottle to help fight off snack cravings. Tip: grapefruit is a must have oil for making your own all-natural perfumes.

LAVENDER

We call it the swiss army knife of oils because it's used for ALL THE THINGS! Not only is lavender super calming for mind and body but it's also great for our skin. How I use lavender: Spot treat blemishes and irritated skin to reduce redness and inflammation. Drop on my pillow at bedtime. Add 2-3 drops in my bath. Add 2 drops to your mascara to enhance lashes and keep it from drying out. Gentle for bedtime foot rubs to calm down kiddos (I like to add a couple drops to lotion).

clary sage

This is my favorite oil to support my hormones. It also has a calming aroma that helps when I'm anxious and I notice it working especially well during my monthly cycle. Try this: apply 1-2 drops to the lower abdomen 1-2x daily.

rosemary

Warm, soothing, earthy and yummy--rosemary is one of my favorite spa-vibe oils to use in the diffuser. Rosemary is also great for overall immune support and can be rubbed into scalp (or added to shampoo) for hair health. Are you ready for the dreamiest roller blend that smells like the ocean: 6 drops rosemary + 3 drops eucalyptus radiata + 6 drops lavender + 4 drops bergamot and fill the rest with fractionated coconut oil.

Orange

Aside from spelling AMAZING in the diffuser and being an incredible uplifting, mood boosting oil, orange is an all natural and gentle teeth whitener. Yes, I'm serious! And it really works! I add a drop on top of my toothpaste and brush the face of my teeth as usual. I can notice results immediately but obviously results improve over time with additional use. Try this: diffuse orange, thieves and valor.

Frankincense

Frank yo' face! No, seriously--put frankincense on your face! It's basically magic! Helps reduce signs of aging, shrinks pores, gives a healthy glow and fights skin irritations and blemishes. I add a roller top to my frank and roll directly on my skin every night before bed. Frankincense is also a grounding oil so it supports my sleep at night as well!

Joy™ essential oil is a blend of floral and citrus essential oils, including Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Jasmine, Palmarosa, Rose, Bergamot, Lemon, and Tangerine. Joy is the main ingredient in my secret Bloom blend that all my new oily family members get in the mail. It's floral notes make an incredible uplifting daily perfume and are wonderful in the diffuser combined with citrus oils.
